It is a city in Israel with its Arab population. It is the third-largest city in Israel. It is also the largest city in the north of Israel. The name of the city is also mentioned in the Bible. At the time, the Romans, Hebrews, Crusaders, Arabs, and Ottomans had the city. Haifa Port is an important structure for the city. The city was captured for a short time in 1799 by Napoleon Bonaparte. After that, Kavalali Mehmet Ali Pasha managed to take the city back from Napoleon. The Kermil Mountain mentioned in the Holy Books is a mountain found in the meantime. The religious significance of the mountain is great. İlyas Prophet's cave is located on this mountain. It is an important city for Islam. On the slopes of the same mountain, some gardens and terraces have a distinct beauty as the world center of the Baha'i religion. These places are exhibited to many tourists every year. Haifa is an important city with a coast to the Mediterranean.

The port, which is considered among the important structures of the city, is a place where many activities continue uninterruptedly. The history of the port is based on old times. Looking at the history; The depth of the water was appropriate in time, and the Carmel Mountain protected the port as a shield protected, played an important role in the development of the port. Due to this sheltered structure, many ships visited the port. This enabled the port to develop rapidly.

The first person to realize that this place has significant potential is Benjamin Zeev Herzl, the founder of Zionism. Herzl visited the holy lands in 1898. Trial drillings were carried out in the region in 1920. As a result of the examinations made, it was decided that Haifa is the most suitable place to be a port region with its current depth and structure. The port facilitated many illegal crossings after Israel became a state in its early stages. Hundreds of thousands of immigrants were able to carry their transportation easily thanks to this port. Haifa ship ports developed slowly due to the Second World War. In the period after the mandate ended in 1948 and Israel became a state, the port also accelerated in the same way.
