Alanya Cruise Port

Alanya Cruise Port

Alanya, which is one of the most important holiday regions of Turkey, is also very suitable for cruise tourism. Alanya Port is operated by Alidaş. There are 2 tugboats in the port which was leased by the state until 2030. The port can accommodate up to 6 ships (small and medium) simultaneously. The port is 533 meters long and 10 meters wide. Alanya center is a 10-minute walk from the harbor.

This important port only hosted around 40 ships of various sizes on average in 2019. Although the Alanya region of Antalya is generally popular in terms of tourism, it is seen that there is not enough number of cruise tourism. Considering the capacity of the harbor to accommodate 6 small or 4 medium or 2 mega passenger ships in time, we can see that today's figures are much lower than the desired level.

Cruise tourism is one of a kind of holiday options as it is known. The ships have everything the passengers need. These ships approaching some cities to visit the region and spend time is called cruise tourism. Alanya port hosted the Orient Queen ship in 2019. A large number of tourists came to the region with this cruise ship from Beirut. Together with this cruise ship, several European cruise ships have also sailed the port many times.

In short, cruise ships are extremely important for the economy of Alanya and Alanya. First of all, tourism needs to be developed to increase tourism and be an extra source of income for the region. For this purpose, more ships should arrive at the port in the region. The number of tourists visiting the region may increase with the studies. Tourists visiting the region with these ships make significant expenditures in the region. Especially the ships coming to Alanya harbor constitute an important source of income for the region. More than 30 cruise ships are expected to arrive in Alanya in 2020. In 2021, more than 25 ships currently planned to come to Alanya.
